PoemNoBot narrows the environment to a large writing surface, a slim syllable-count rail, and a few quiet controls. There are no feeds, prompts, generated continuations, or document-layout panels.
Assistance that waits for an invitation
Distraction-free does not have to mean featureless. A syllable total updates beside each line without covering the text. If you want to explore one word, select it to open rhymes, near rhymes, and synonyms. If you do not select anything, the lookup stays out of sight.
This rhythm keeps support available at the moment of need while avoiding a constant stream of advice. The tool presents possibilities; it does not grade a line or tell you what to write next.
Create a focused poetry session
- Decide on a short period when the draft is the only task.
- Clear the sample and begin with an image, phrase, or question already present.
- Draft without opening lookup until a genuine word-level problem appears.
- Use syllable counts to investigate rhythm, not to police every line.
- End by reading aloud and copying the version you want to preserve.
The current draft autosaves locally every two seconds, reducing the need to interrupt a session with manual saving. For durable storage or multiple versions, copy the poem to your own archive afterward.
Keep poetry—not minimalism—the goal
A clean interface is only useful when it protects the work. Sometimes revision should be slow and analytical. Sometimes you need another dictionary, a printed draft, or conversation with a trusted reader. PoemNoBot does not pretend one workspace is the whole practice.
Its role is simpler: provide a calm place for drafting and close revision, especially when generic writing software feels louder than the poem.
Focused writing FAQ
Does the editor show pop-up writing suggestions?
No. Word results appear only when you select a complete word, and they never change the draft automatically.
Can I hide the syllable counts?
Not currently. They remain in a narrow rail beside the poem, with no alerts or scoring.
Will my draft still be there later?
It is autosaved to the browser’s local storage. Clearing browser data or changing devices can remove access, so keep important work elsewhere too.
